Treatment for You

A Graduate from Friends University (Wichita, Ks) in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, I worked a couple of jobs in management but continued to feel an urge to further assist others. I decided to further my education in hopes of positioning myself to provide professional services for others.

I graduated from Friends University once again in 2001 with a Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I passed the National Exam and received my license in 2001 to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I changed employment to coincide with my new degree and began a new career as a LMFT. I worked 6 ½ years with a Family Preservation agency in Wichita, Ks as a Crisis Intervention Specialist. I completed my career at this agency as a Treatment Coordinator before moving to Texas in 2008.

My counseling journey in Texas provides excellent professional services to Texans in need of additional assistance with life experiences and/or with making improvements in their lives. I provide many modalities (theories) including but not limited to: 1) Structural, 2) Strategic, 3) Behavioral, 4) Cognitive Behavioral, 5) Solution Focus, 6) Generational/Intergenerational, 7) Cybernetics, 8) General Systems Theory, etc as identified to be most beneficial for the client.

While my modalities are learned, my philosophy is to provide each with a flare of Religion Based Theory depending on the client’s desires. I trust and love God first and foremost as he leads and guides me. I view myself as one of God’s helpers to provide comfort and care to those in need. My calm and caring demeanor has been described as very soothing. Your cares and concerns will become my cares and concerns. I look forward to assisting you. Thank you for the opportunity.
